My Grandmother suffered from Alzheimer and we witnessed as she slowly faded into silence. We knew it was coming when the early signs started showing. After a few years she had forgotten how to talk and there were no remains of the beautiful women she once was. Her shoes gathered dust and the house, once the center of a big and buoyant family, turned into oblivion.
Home is a 4-channel video installation exploring the concept of the construction of belonging to one particular place through the stories of four immigrants with totally different backgrounds.

Haralampia was never able to build a home in New York so she is planning on moving back to Cyprus.
Irene's family lives in Hong Kong but as an American she can't live there for more than a few months. She is stuck in New York on her own (and her cat).
Tepeyac Television Service (TTS) produced biweekly documentaries for New York's public access television between 2002 and 2004. These documentaries portrayed the lives of recent immigrants in the city. Moreover, all the production was done by immigrants themselves as part of a media and documentary workshop.
