For the past 10 years I've kept a personal record of my life in New York and Mexico City, and an account of my travels around the world. This journal represents an intimate journey from my 20's and into my 30's, and its only purpose is to put a line on the sand - keep track of time - as it helps me understand where I am.

I've been always impressed with the French "cités" where young people speak verlan by inverting syllables in a word. The word verlan is itself an example: verlan = lan ver = l'envers (the inverse).
